DL_MESO

DL_MESO is a general-purpose mesoscale simulation package developed by Michael Seaton for CCP5 and UKCOMES, UK research communities supported by CoSeC. It is written in Fortran 2003 and C++ and supports both Lattice Boltzmann Equation (LBE) and Dissipative Particle Dynamics (DPD) methods.

The current version of DL_MESO is DL_MESO 2.7 (originally released in December 2018) and described fully in its user manual. Its LBE and DPD codes can exploit multithreaded parallelism using OpenMP and run on multiple processor core machines with MPI and parallelism based on domain decomposition.

DL_MESO is supplied with one of two licences. A free-of-cost academic licence is available to individual scientists pursuing non-commercial research, which can be obtained by registering for DL_MESO using the form below. (The Licence Agreement and information about the registration process can be found here.) A commercial licence is available on request as an annual subscription.
